Direct Digital Access
Your instructor requires the use of an integrated e-textbook and/or homework solution for Direct Digital Access (DDA) courses. The retail price has been negotiated and is priced well below the national retail price. You will access the digital content directly through a link found in your Moodle Account. The link will be active on, or before, the first day of class. Please note there is NO physical book to purchase at the LBCC Campus Store.
By taking this course, you agree to the following regarding the required digital course materials:
1. Your student account will be directly charged $xx.xx upon registering for the course. This charges covers full access to the required course materials for the duration of the term. Your account will be credited if you drop the course before the add/drop deadline.
2. You will have the option to “opt out” of the course materials by clicking the “opt out” link within your Moodle account. If you choose to “opt out”, you must do so before the add/drop deadline. After the add/drop deadline, you will no longer be able to “opt out” and will be responsible for payment of the digital course materials. If you choose to “opt out”, your student account will be credited after the add/drop deadline has passed, and your access to the digital course materials in Moodle will be permanently discontinued. Choosing to “opt out” is NOT recommended, and you should talk to your instructor before exercising the “opt out” option.
3. 3. Payment for the required digital course materials can be made by logging in to WebRunner. Charges will appear on your student account once you are registered for the class. Financial Aid and Agency awards will automatically be applied to cover these charges. If the balance payment is not made for the digital course materials, your student account may be placed on hold until the balance is resolved.
4. After the add/drop deadline, you will have the option to purchase a low-cost print version of the textbook. The print textbook is an additional $34.50, but is not required. If you are happy with the e-textbook experience, do not purchase the print version. It is purely optional. Please visit the LBCC Campus Store or visit online, then look up your class to purchase the print version of the e-text after the add/drop deadline.
